  Getting to Macao Getting to the ferry terminal The ferry terminal is located at Shueng Wan. There are other ferry terminals but this is the only place where you can get a ferry to Macao.  The closest subway station is Shueng Wan, which is connected to the ferry terminal. It is located on the island line and you need to be travelling in the direction of Kennedy Town.  The Ferry to Macao NOTE: YOU WILL NEED YOUR PASSPORT OR ID DOCUMENT TO TRAVEL Getting to Macao is so easy using  Turbojet  who have ferries running every 15 minutes, beginning at 7am and ending at midnight. There are other ferry companies that you can use and can be found in the ticketing hall of the ferry terminal, but  Turbojet  are the most regular and reliable. It will cost approximately HK$180 depending on the class you choose to travel and the journey time is approximately 1 hour. You will need to go through security and passport control before boarding the ferry and you will also need to do the same upon re-enteri

  Hong Kong is one of those places that is really hard to capture in a photograph. It is the perfect mix of modern and new, Hong Kong-esque and Western. You can find a brand new Starbucks next to an old family-run business. You can find pure luxury in the Peninsula or slum it at Chungking Mansions. It's hard to capture the city in photos, but here is our photo diary of our recent trip to Hong Kong. A typical street in Hong Kong. Hong Kong is a huge mix of Chinese buildings mixed with Western shops and hotels. While I love Hong Kong's likeness to NYC, I love the Chinese buildings and signage too. The contrast really makes Hong Kong something special. And in stark contrast to the previous picture, a snap of Hong Kong's concrete jungle. Everywhere you look you are surrounded by skyscrapers in every direction. It is one of the things that makes Hong Kong so special and it really awe inspiring as you stand on the ground and look up at the concrete jungle around you.  Victoria Pa
