Goals and Intentions for 2024

I am so ready to welcome 2024, what feels like a very needed fresh start. The end of 2023 felt hard, with me feeling a little down about work and life in general, as well as illness after illness taking me out. This year I am going to focus on slowing down and looking after myself, putting my time and effort where it matters most and taking steps to improve and enjoy life.

With the focus of well-being as a priority, my goals for 2024 are:

Personal (self-growth, health, fitness, well-being)

 Lose 120 pounds

Develop and maintain healthy habits and routines (sleep, exercise, food, hydration, cleaning, etc)

 Grow my confidence and self-esteem

Prioritise time and energy on my own wellbeing

 Walk more

♥ Make an effort to look and feel my best each day

Life (family, friends, home, hobbies)

 Start a family/IVF journey

More wholesome activities to fill my time (puzzles, reading, crafts, journalling, etc)

 Celebrate the seasons

Live a more active and fulfilling life

 Read 12 books

Make an effort to make some real friends

Spend more time and make memories with my mam

Professional (career, side hustles, finance)

 Clear my credit card

Add at least £7000 to my savings account

Better work-life balance (leave by 5pm)

Relax into my job and feel less stressed

Explore (travel, experiences, adventures)

♥ Explore more of London

♥ More city breaks and cosy staycations

Here's to 2024!

Little September Goals

Yay, it’s September and officially my favourite time of year and I can’t wait to make the most of the next few months while also focusing on my goals too. I just love the crisp air, the cosy vibes and the many celebrations coming up at this time of year. As the final four months of the year approach, I really want to finish 2023 on a high so I’m focusing most of my goals around getting my life in order. They’re not the most exciting of goals but are ones that will make a big difference to my life. 1. Establish healthy habits – Habits really help me to keep my life in order and I know that when I go of the rails with my healthy habits everything goes to shit pretty quickly, especially my mood which is why I am making being consistent with these healthy habits a priority. 2. Lose weight – This is the goal that never seems to leave my list but I’m making it a big priority for the final part of 2023 so I can go into 2024 feeling happy, comfortable and confident. Back to School: First Week Thoughts

This week marks the first week of the new school year. Having moved to a new year group and the main school building I was feeling a little apprehensive, but excited too. After six weeks off with very few plans I was very ready to get back into routine and fill my days. Having spent one week in Reception I already know that it was 100% the right decision for me to move year groups. For the first time in a long time, I am really enjoying my job and I'm feeling excited about having my own class, my own space and my own rules. When working in China I spent a lot of time in leadership which was so intense and drained every single ounce of energy I had, and working in a large Nursery team that wasn't quite on the same page as me last year didn't fill me with the excitement I had hoped. I am loving being able to implement my own ideas. Is my workload going to be more? It absolutely is! Is it worth it to enjoy my job? Absolutely! The week began with two INSET days, which alw
